In Bankruptcy. In the matter of the bankruptcy of Vincent Opava. Petition to review the action of the referee and denying claim to exemptions, together with objections to the discharge of the bankrupt.

1Opinion of the Court

WADE, District Judge.

The bankrupt is a priest of the Catholic Church, who filed a voluntary petition in bankruptcy, and now asks his discharge.

The debts owing by him, so far as indicated by the record before me, is $1,000, upon a note executed for some stock in an insolvent corporation and $65 to the publishers of “Americana.”

Two questions are here presented. Early in the proceedings, the bankrupt claimed, as exempt to him as head of a family, his small library and typewriter. This claim was denied by the referee, and, by stipulation, a petition for review of the action of the referee is…
