Defendant each appeal from a judgment, after trial by jury, on verdicts finding them guilty of burglary in the second degree.

The Facts

On September 7, 1966, at some time between 4:30 and 5 p.m., defendant Hardy drove a 1956 or 1957 model Cadillac into a service station in Concord which was operated by Marvin Johnson. The Cadillac was damaged in the left front area. Defendant Eastman, a passenger in the automobile, got out and asked Johnson if he carried a fan belt for a 1941 Plymouth.
