This case is before the Court on Complaint of Siouxland Beef Processing Company (SIOUXLAND) filed September 15, 1983, seeking judgment against the Defendant, Bernard Knight (KNIGHT), for the sum of $115,576.09, representing the principal plus accrued interest on a promissory note from Knight to Siouxland. Answering, Knight alleges his obligation on the note was discharged by accord and satisfaction as well as by operation of section 554.3601 of the Iowa Code (U.C.C. § 3-601(2)).
