The defendant, Perry Osborn, was charged with two counts of aggravated battery and one count of felony criminal damage to property. Following a jury trial, the defendant was convicted on all three counts. He was sentenced to concurrent terms of two years for aggravated battery and one year for criminal damage to property. The defendant asks us to reverse those convictions alleging that: (1) he was improperly convicted on the second count of aggravated battery; (2) he was denied an impartial jury because the prosecutor used peremptory challenges to exclude the only two available black jurors;…
