The plaintiff, by his father and next friend, brought this action to recover for injuries sustained by him on the 12th of July, 1912, through the explosion of a bomb which was sent into the air as part of the Fourth of July celebration of that year.
The plaintiff’s claim is that by reason of the negligence of the contractors employed by the defendants having charge of said celebration, the bomb in question failed to explode in the air, as it was intended, but was thrown across the river and landed upon the property occupied by the plaintiff’s father; that eight days later, upon the 12th of…
