The accused was convicted of four specifications of unauthorized absence and three specifications of escape from confinement. Under specification 2, Charge I, the accused was convicted of an unauthorized absence from his organization at Truax Field, Wisconsin, from November 1 to November 27,1956. He was found guilty of an unauthorized absence from the same organization for the period from November 29, 1956, to April 24, 1957 (specification 3, Charge I).
