OPINION
MOTLEY, District Judge.
Plaintiff, Terry Artrip, who was born on October 16, 1940, applied for social security disability benefits in April 1983, claiming a painful and disabling back injury. After intitial denials of his application, an administrative hearing was held where plaintiff was represented by counsel. Subsequently, plaintiff’s claim was again denied by the Administrative Law Judge, who found that although plaintiff’s back injury prevented him from returning to his previous work, he retained the residual functional capacity to do a full range of sedentary work.
