The appellant, charged with the murder of Marguerita LaSueur, was found guilty of murder in the first degree without capital punishment by a jury in the Circuit Court for Harford County and sentenced to imprisonment for life. 1

The body of Marguerita LaSueur, an octogenarian resident of The Chase Home, a home for elderly women located in Annapolis, was found on the premises in a garden type tool shed on 18 August 1961 about 4:30 P.M. by the manager of the home.
