This is a suit for damages for personal injuries alleged to have been sustained on or about August 25, 1912, by the plaintiff, while working as a hatchman on one of the defendant’s vessels in the port of New Orleans. The petition, filed on June 18, 1913, described the defendant as a corporation of the state of Delaware, having its principal place of business in Philadelphia, in the state of Pennsylvania, and doing business in the state of Louisiana, with an office and agent in the city of New Orleans.
