Eligibility for unemployment compensation and disqualification for unemployment compensation are both entirely statutory. In this case, an employer challenges the validity of a judgment of the trial court upholding an administrative construction of General Statutes § 31-236 (a) (14), 1 pursuant to which the employer has been held liable for unemployment benefits for an employee truck driver who lost his commercial driver’s license for driving while intoxicated.
