Anthony D. Straw (claimant) appeals an order of the judge of compensation claims (JCC) which denied recovery for a part of claimant’s attorney’s fees on the grounds (i) that, since his claim for wage loss benefits failed to meet the specificity requirements of section 440.19(l)(e)l, Florida Statutes (1991), the mandatory bar on the award of attorney’s fees for non-specific claims under section 440.19(l)(e)5 applied; and (ii) that the settlement of the claim for claimant’s right knee injury was on a “controverted basis” and, therefore, claimant was responsible for his own…
