Plaintiff was injured on the morning of May 2, 1910, while alighting from one of the elevators in the Penobscot Building on Port street west, in Detroit, and this action was brought against the defendant and appellant, which owns and operates the office building, to secure damages for her injuries. There is practically no dispute in the testimony given by the several witnesses. They were, on behalf of plaintiff, herself, James E.
