Following a jury trial, defendant was found guilty of the offense of delivery of a controlled substance and was sentenced to a term of six years. He appeals, urging that the trial court erred when (1) it erroneously instructed the jury with the Illinois pattern instruction on entrapment (Illinois Pattern Jury Instructions, Criminal, No. 24.04 (1968)) (IPI entrapment instruction) which was unclear and confusing thereby resulting in an unfair trial, and (2) permitted the prosecutor to misstate the law of entrapment in his closing…
