IzWICKER, Judge.

Defendant, Horatio Johnson, was charged by grand jury indictment with second degree murder, a violation of La.R.S. 14:30.1. He pled not guilty. Several months later, the trial court granted the state’s motion to amend the indictment regarding the date of the offense. Defendant was rearraigned and pled not guilty. After a trial, the jury found defendant guilty of the lesser and included offense of manslaughter. The trial court ordered a sentencing guidelines report.
