The four female appellants in this case were among seven women convicted, after a jury trial, of violating the Travel Act, 18 U.S.C. § 1952, through their participation in what the Government contends was “a prostitution business.” The sole male appellant was convicted of violating both the Travel Act and the Mann Act, id. § 2421, for his part as a telephone dispatcher for the allegedly unlawful enterprise.
