Finley, a minor,* by his next friend, sued the Southern Railway Company, together with Oscar Turner and Walter Hagan (who were the yardmaster and assistant yardmaster respectively of the defendant corporation), for $20,000. On the trial the jury rendered a verdict in favor of the plaintiff for $8,000; and, upon.motion, the judge of the city court granted a new trial.
