SOPER, District Judge.

In each of these cases, tlie libelant brings suit against the United States, as the owner of .a merchant vessel, under the Suits in Admiralty Act of March 9, 1920 (41 Stat. 525 [Comp. St. Ann. Supp. 1923, §§ 1251*4-1251%/']), claiming a maritime lien for stevedores’ services and other necessaries furnished the vessel at Grays Harbor in the state of Washington. The vessels were registered in the name of the United States as owner—the Cape Henry and *160Cape Romaine at Baltimore, the Liberator at San Francisco, and the West Haven at Seattle.
