These consolidated appeals stem from a drug-related mass shooting carried out in furtherance of a Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (“RICO”) enterprise. Following the shooting, a federal grand jury in the United States District Court for the District of Puerto Rico returned a fifty-two count superseding indictment charging Alexis Candelario-San-tana (“Candelario”) and David Oquendo-Rivas (“Oquendo”) (collectively, “Defendants-Appellants”) with violent crimes in aid of racketeering activity (“VICAR”).
