This is an action to recover on four school-district warrants issued by the defendant in the aggregate amount of $4,000. The plaintiff prevailed, and the defendant appeals.

The petition contains the usual and ordinary allegations in such actions, stating a cause of action against the defendant. The answer, among other things, alleges that the defendant was the owner of a *48schoolhouse site and that during the year 1927 the qualified electors of the district, at an election duly called and held for that purpose, voted to build a new schoolhouse…
