This is an interlocutory appeal wherein the appellants-defendants Fire Insurance Exchange, Illinois Farmers Insurance Company, Farmers Group, Inc. d/b/a Farmers Underwriters Association (Farmers), the law firm of Ice Miller Donadio & Ryan (Ice Miller), and Phillip R. Scaletta (Scaletta), a partner with Ice Miller [collectively referred to as appellants], are appealing the trial court's denial of their motion for summary judgment.
