HAWTHORNE, Justice.

Appellants Robert R. Boucher, A. C. Wilkinson, and Jules R. Gueymard are prosecuting these appeals from a decision of the State Civil Service Commission sustaining their discharge by the appointing authority.1 We are concerned at this time only with motions filed by the appellee, Division of Employment Security of the Louisiana Department of Labor, to dismiss the appeals on the ground that the applications for appeal were not timely filed with the State Civil Service Commission.
