On June 19, 1916, the State’s Attorney of Lake county filed an information in the Oounty Court against William McCanney, charging him with the unlawful sale of intoxicating liquor in the Town of Waukegan in said county, while it was anti-saloon territory. The information contained forty-one counts. He was tried by jury and found guilty under each. Afterwards, the State dismissed seventeen of said counts and under the other counts he was fined an aggregate of $1,850, was sentenced to imprisonment in the county jail for fifty days in all, and it was ordered that the place which he kept should…
