This is a cause of a somewhat extraordinary nature. The secret papers disclose one of the most extensive enterprises for the illicit importation of British goods from the British provinces, into the United States, on American account, during the late war, by means of collusive captures and otherwise, which was probably ever undertaken in violation of our laws.
