In this action, Plaintiff E.R. brings suit against her insurer for denying coverage of residential treatment for an eating disorder. Plaintiff asserts that the denial was both arbitrary and capricious because the treatment was “medically necessary” as defined in Plaintiffs insurance policy, which is governed by the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 (“ERISA”).
