The judgment on which the present proceeding by writ of scire-facias is foundéd, was, by the concession of both the parties in this case, rendered against the New York and Boston Railroad Company, which was the corporation chartered by the legislature of the state of Connecticut in 1846, and the question is, whether the defendant, when the. copy of the writ, in the suit in which that judgment was rendered, was left with him in service, was indebted to that corporation,.
