State v. Atkins
Supreme Court of New Hampshire
1Opinion of the CourtDalianis, J.
The defendant, George M. Atkins, III, appeals his conviction following a jury trial of seven counts of unsworn falsification, see RSA 641:3, II (1996), and one count of perjury, see RSA 641:1,I(a) (1996). He argues that the Superior Court (Coffey, J.) erred in various evidentiary rulings, including admitting prior convictions and allowing the State to inflame the jury improperly during closing argument. He also argues that the evidence was insufficient to support his perjury conviction. We affirm.
