Defendant appeals his jury conviction of the offense of armed robbery.* 1 The offense involved a daylight robbery of a grocery store, with defendant contending that he was not a participant and presenting an alibi defense. The store employees and customers were unable to identify the robbers. They pursued them, however, and a neighborhood chase resulted. A neighborhood resident who knew defendant testified that she was told by some children that a man was hiding under a nearby porch and that she then saw defendant run, go down an alley and over a fence.
