The plaintiffs, Kevin Hess and Patsy J. Turner, sued to enjoin the defendant, Clarcor, Inc. (Clarcor), from terminating their employment. The plaintiffs alleged that the threatened discharges were in retaliation for the plaintiffs’ filing of claims under the Workers’ Compensation Act (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1989, ch. 48, par. 138.1 et seq.). Charles Turner, who is not a party to this appeal, brought a similar action. The trial court consolidated the actions.
