HOWE, Justice:

¶ 1 Richard Dee Thomas appeals from the district court’s order dismissing his petition for extraordinary relief in which he challenged his conviction for aggravated robbery. We affirm.

BACKGROUND

¶ 2 Thomas was convicted of aggravated robbery on August 4, 1995, and was sentenced to five years to life in prison. He was on parole at the time of his arrest for that crime, and an arrest warrant had been issued in connection with his parole violation.
