LODGE, District Judge.
Plaintiff, James D. Strong, Jr., M.D., brings this action against Defendants, Un- umProvident Corporation (“UnumProvi-dent”), Unum Life Insurance Company of American (“Unum”), and Provident Life and Accident Insurance Company (“Provident”), alleging breach of contract and bad faith. Defendants have moved for summary judgment on all of Dr. Strong’s claims. Additionally, UnumProvident and Unum seek their dismissal from this lawsuit. Dr. Strong, in turn, requests by way of a motion for partial summary judgment that the Court rule in his favor on certain legal issues.…
