The jury convicted appellant of murder and assessed his punishment at confinement for life and a fine of $10,000. Appellant appeals. We affirm.

The sufficiency of the evidence to support the conviction is not challenged. Brigido Daniel (Danny) Alcala described the murder. Alcala testified that he was asleep downstairs on a couch in the victim=s apartment. He heard appellant shouting, the sound of someone being slapped around, and the sound of the victim…
