This suit arises out of an insurance dispute between Plaintiff Lawrence- Tucker and Defendant State Farm Fire and Casualty Company. After Plaintiffs rental property burned, he filed an insurance claim with his insurer State Farm, but it was denied. Plaintiff then brought this action against State Farm, alleging breach of contract, breach of the common-law duty of good faith and fair dealing, violation of the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act, TEX.
