Joaquin Ochoa was driving and Imelda Moreno was a passenger in a big-rig tractor without a trailer when the vehicle was struck from behind by a tractor-trailer being driven by Jesus Felipe Dorado, a driver for Trimac Transportation Services Western, Inc. (Trimac). Dorado and Trimac (Defendants) conceded liability, and a jury awarded damages to both plaintiffs (Plaintiffs).
