[¶ 1] James R. appeals from an order of the District Court (Portland, Powers, J. ) terminating his parental rights to his child based on the court's conclusions that he is unfit because he is unable to "meet his son's special needs and take responsibility for him in a reasonable time to meet those needs" and to "protect his son from jeopardy in a reasonable time to meet his needs," and that termination is in the child's best interest.
