MEMORANDUM OPINION AND ORDER

CONLON, District Judge.

This dispute concerns the citizenship of Joseph Wittje, an ethnic German from Romania who immigrated to the United States in 1950 and obtained citizenship in 1959, From 1943-1945, Wittje was a Nazi Waffen SS guard at the Sachsenhausen concentration camp near Berlin, Germany. The United States contends that Wittje’s membership in the Waffen SS and his residence at Sachsenhausen were not revealed to immigration authorities. The government seeks to revoke Wittje’s citizenship under Section 340(a) of the Immigration and Nationality Act of 1952,…
