Jane Ross was convicted of bringing marijuana into the State of Florida and possession of marijuana. The marijuana was found in the false bottom of Ross’ suitcase during a search conducted by United States Customs Inspectors in the Customs area of the Miami International Airport upon Ross’ arrival on a flight from Jamaica. Ross argues on appeal that she was entitled to the entry of a judgment of acquittal on the ground that the State failed to prove that the offenses were committed within this state.
