McGIVERIN, Chief Justice.

This case raises several issues arising out of an “enhanced injury” claim in a products liability action. We affirm the district court’s judgment in all respects.

I. Background facts and proceedings. This is a products liability action concerning a “New Idea Unisystem” cornpicker manufactured by defendant Avco Corporation in 1966. Plaintiff Kenneth Hillrichs purchased the used cornpicker in 1986. In November of that year, while Hillrichs was operating the cornpicker alone, the husking bed became plugged with corn “trash.” Hillrichs left the machine running and…
