In May of 1974, a divorce decree was entered in Pulaski Chancery Court between Ronald Orsini and Mary Linda Orsini. The decree contained this provision:

Husband agrees to maintain life insurance upon his life with the minor child, Stacy Renee Orsini, as the named beneficiary, in the approximate sum of Fifty Thousand Dollars ($50,000.00).

At that time there were two $25,000.00 policies on Ron Orsini’s life and the beneficiary of each policy was Stacy Orsini, the minor daughter of Ron and Mary Linda. By March of 1981, when Ron Orsini died as a result of a homicide,…
