The Home Insurance Company is a foreign corporation created by, and existing under the laws of the State of New York, engaged in the business of insuring against loss by fire. Said company has an agency established at the City of San Francisco, under the management of Bigelow & Brother, who are duly authorized to act for the company in the ordinary business of the corporation transacted in the State of California.
