MCMAHON, District Judge.

Roger Couture (“Couture”) filed this action against UNUM Provident Corporation (“UNUM”) and Paul Revere Life Insurance Company (“Paul Revere”) seeking disability benefits under a group long-term disability benefit plan (“Plan”) established by Couture’s former employer, Xylum Corporation (“Xylum”).
