Plaintiff Sabrina Marie Freppon filed suit against her former employer, the City of Chandler, Oklahoma (the City). She alleged gender/pregnancy discrimination against the City in violation of Title VII because (1) it denied her request for a light duty assignment to accommodate her pregnancy and forced her to take a twelve-week unpaid leave of absence under the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), and (2) it terminated her from her job as a police officer.
