(orally). This suit is brought upon 25 bonds issued by the defendant in aid of the Belleville & Eldorado Railroad under an act of the General Assembly of the sta'te of Illinois of 1861 (Priv. Haws 1861, p. 485). It is not my purpose to enter into an elaborate discussion of the questions argued in this case, or to give a neat opinion upon any of the questions involved, but merely to indicate in a general way the reasons of the court for its conclusions.
