The defendant was convicted of aggravated battery (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1971, ch. 38, par. 12 — 4), rape (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1971, ch. 38, par. 11 — 1), aggravated kidnapping (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1971, ch. 38, par. 10 — 2) and two counts of armed robbery (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1971, ch. 38, par. .18 — 2). He received concurrent sentences of 25 to 50 years for the rape and armed robberies and a concurrent sentence of 3 to 10 years for the aggravated battery.
