Following a bench trial in the circuit court of Du Page County, defendant Ezzard Charles was convicted of aggravated kidnapping and aggravated criminal sexual assault. (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1987, ch. 38, pars. 10 — 2(a)(3), 12 — 14(a)(1).) He was sentenced to concurrent terms of seven years’ imprisonment on each conviction. On appeal defendant contends that the State failed to prove that he displayed a dangerous weapon, which was used to enhance the offense of criminal sexual assault to aggravated criminal sexual assault.
