This is a proceeding in equity by petition of the state by its solicit- or for the condemnation and sale of one Star automobile, on the ground it was used in unlawfully transporting prohibited liquors. Leon Hancock, the owner, was a party defendant. He made no defense by answer. A decree pro confesso on personal service was rendered against him by the court. 1-Ie purchased the automobile from the D. & S.
