The plaintiff brought this action to recover for services as housekeeper, which she alleged in her complaint herein she had performed for one Eckford Webb under .an agreement that she should perform them up to the death of Mr. Webb, he agreeing with her that she should be compensated for such services by a provision in his will, by which she would have a life estate in the house Ho. 78 Bush street, in the city of Brooklyn, $5,000 in cash and $3,000 in value of railroad bonds.
