¶ 1 Following a bench trial, defendant Zachary Smith was convicted of being an armed habitual criminal (AHC) and for unlawful use of a weapon by a felon (UUWF). Mr. Smith was sentenced on the AHC charge to a prison term of six years, followed by three years of mandatory supervised release (MSR), and on the UUWF charge to a concurrent sentence of two years.
