We granted certiorari to review the court of appeals’ decision in Barden v. Blau, 678 P.2d 1031 (Colo.App.1983), to consider whether, under the circumstances of this case, Colorado courts have jurisdiction under the Uniform Child Custody Jurisdiction Act (U.C.C.J.A.), §§ 14-13-101 through -126, 6 C.R.S. (1973 & 1985 Supp.), to modify visitation rights and, if so, whether such jurisdiction should be exercised.
