{¶ 1} Petitioner-appellant, Tracy Sinclair, appeals the decision of the Athens County Common Pleas Court. Appellant contends that it was error for the trial court to issue a one-year civil protection order against respondent-appellee, Charles Sinclair, instead of a five-year protection order, as she requested. Because we find the trial court improperly limited the duration of the civil protection order (“CPO”) because a divorce proceeding automatically alleviates the need for a CPO, we find error.
