CHASE, Circuit Judge.
The plaintiff is a citizen and resident of New Jersey and the defendant a New Ybrk corporation.
On January 10, 1932, the plaintiff, with a companion, approached the entrance to the defendant’s restaurant located in the basement of premises known as 100 West Fifty-Seventh street in the city of New York. She testified that there was a sign on the sidewalk in front of the entrance indicating that the restaurant was open for business.
